I began my career in radio 7 years ago volunteering for the radio station at Jacksonville State University, J92. Then sorta like Britney Spears to the paparazzi, I got sucked in. I left J92 a couple months later to intern at 99X/Q100 in Atlanta (R.I.P.). Then one day a 'suit' was running around the hallways looking for someone to run a radio show and I said I knew how.. ha ha.. I had no clue, but it got me behind the board! I was hired on a few weeks later working overnights for Q100. I got to meet some REALLY great people and learned how to scooter down a carpeted hallway with only a few stalkers. Between my part time radio gig I had to actually make real money so I worked at MANY other places ending up at a mortgage company. Since the market is what it is, I eventually was laid off along with 90 others. I found out about the mortgage company about the same day I found out Q100 and 99X were in the process of changing companies. This was all a blessing in disguise because I found the best radio station EVER..Kiss 102.7!! I've been here a couple of years and intend to stay for quite sometime! Weird how it all works out in the end. :)
